Trek to Ghorepani Poon hill, one of the most treasured trekking area of Nepal, begins from one of the most attractive cities, Pokhara. From here, we take a short drive to Nayapul and start our trek on foot officially. As we hike through beautiful rhododendron forests, terraced fields, graceful watercourses, and impressive stairways while relishing the serene beauty of high Himalayas, we eventually reach beautiful Ghorepani. This trek is also amazing particularly for the view of Mount Fishtail that keeps on changing as we hike through different paces.   • Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

    Welcome to Nepal. Upon your arrival at Kathmandu airport, you will be greeted by a representative of Trekkers Nepal. After completing your custom formalities, you will be transferred to hotel. In the evening, we will have a Welcome Dinner at a famous traditional Nepalese Restaurant where we will also do the briefing about our trek to Ghorepani Poon Hill. Overnight at Kathmandu hotel.

     

  • Day2: Drive to Pokhara (1,400 m)

    After Breakfast, we take a long 6-7 hours interesting drive through scenic Prithvi Highway enjoying the peaceful nature on the way to the beautiful city of Lakes, Pokhara.  Upon arrival at Pokhara, we check into our hotel of Pokhara, and in the afternoon we can roam around the beautiful town Lakeside or boat on the Phewa Lake. We will have dinner in the evening at a restaurant near the Phewa lake. Overnight at Pokhara hotel.

     

  • Day 3: Drive to Nayapul (1,070 m) and then Trek to Tikhedhunga (1,577 m)

    After breakfast, we drive the winding road over the middle hills till Nayapul where we meet our porters and begin the trek officially on foot towards Tikhedhunga. On the way, can observe the beautiful farming lands and people working there. It takes around 4 to 5 hours to reach Tikhedhunga passing beautiful small villages of Birethanti, Lamdawali, Sudame, and Hile. Overnight at Tikhedhunga teahouse.

     

  • Day 4: Trek to Ghorepani (2,874 m)

    Leaving Tikhedhunga, continuing our journey, we begin our trek with a steep climb to Ulleri village crossing the Tikhedhunga bridge and passing through dense rhododendron forest. Within a short time of trekking, we arrive close to the majestic mountains at today’s destination, Ghorepani. It is one of the biggest village in Annapurna which lies within the Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA). It offers stunning views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I, Mt. Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Himchuli and Nilgiri. We enjoy the warm overnight stay at Ghorepani.

     

  • Day 5: Explore Poonhill (3,210 m) and Trek to Tadapani

    Today it the excellent day of our whole trek as we climb up to the vantage point Poon Hill at the elevation of 3,210 meters for great views of the Himalayas. We wake up early in the morning as we have to reach up to the summit of Poonhill for a mesmerizing sunrise view which takes about 45 minutes ascending from Ghorepani. The fascinating scenery of the sun rising across the magnificent Himalayas is an unforgettable experience one can ever have. From here, we can enjoy the panoramic view of Dhaulagiri ranges, Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre, Nilgiri and few more soaring Himalayas. After relishing the sunrise and close look of mountains, we head down to Ghorepani and then hike towards Tadapani. The whole day we walk uphill and downhill along the forest and impressive river gorges to reach Tadapani. We stay for the night at Tadapani teahouse.

     

  • Day 6: Trek to Ghandruk (1,940 m)

    After breakfast in Tadapani, we head towards a beautiful village, Ghandruk. We hike all the way downhill along a sheltered forest followed by a terraced field to get to Ghandruk village. Ghandruk is the second largest village and a settlement of Gurung people. They are so rich in their tradition & culture. After having lunch at this ethnic village, we walk around the village to enjoy the perfect view of Annapurna, Machhapuchhre and Himchuli ranges and also visit mini Gurung museum. Overnight at Ghandruk.

     

  • Day 7: Trek to Nayapul (1,070 m) and Drive back to Pokhara

    Parting from the warm Ghandruk village, we cross through numerous rocky staircases and descend to Syauli Bazar and continue to hike through a rocky road to Banthanti. Here, we can stop to try some fresh fish from the nearby river for our lunch. After lunch, within a short hike, we reach Nayapul from where we take a drive to Pokhara.

     

  • Day 8: Drive or Fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu by Tourist bus

    Leaving the mountains behind and amassing incredible experience, we drive or fly back to Kathmandu. If you’ve chosen to take a flight, you can explore some of the heritage sites in Kathmandu valley. In the evening, we will have a farewell dinner and also enjoy a Nepali cultural show. You can enjoy the night to the fullest with your friends.

     

  • Day 9: Final Departure

    The adventurous short voyage ‘Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek’ of yours in Nepal ends today. We will gratefully drop you at the International airport 2-3 hours before your flight schedule. You will be flying back to home with lots of memories from Nepal to cherish for the rest of your life.

    • 2 pair of loose fitting long shorts/ skirts.
    • Loose cotton pants, long sleeved –shirt is particularly suitable for avoiding sun burn.
    • A pair of gloves. Leather with lining and woolen are best.
    • 1 pair of sandals to wear in the cities and in camp.
    • 2 pairs of thin and 2 pair of thick woolen socks.
    • Down jacket, Woolen shirts and thick sweaters for winter December, January & February.
    • Duffle bag or kit bag to carry to gear while trekking.
