The hike takes us through culturally enriched villages and viewpoints such as Monjo (2835m), Namche Bazaar (3440m), Debuche (3820m), Dingboche (4410m), Lobuche (4940m), Gorak Shep (5164m) and finally Everest Base Camp (5380m). The trek rewards us with breathtaking panoramic views of Himalayan giants like Mount Everest (8848m), Cho Oyu (8188m), Lhotse (8516m), Mount Nuptse (7855m), Ama Dablam (6812m), Mount Thamserku (6723m), Imja Tse/Island Peak (6189m) and other several peaks. The famous Khumbu Glacier and Khumbu Icefall are also one of the highlights of the treks we get to explore along the way.

  • Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu (1,400 m)

    Welcome to Nepal. Upon your arrival at the Kathmandu airport, one of a member of Trekkers Nepal will wholeheartedly greet you and drive you to the hotel. After check-in, you can either take a rest or hang around in the city. In the evening, we will do briefing about the journey to Everest Base Camp. Overnight at Hotel.


  • Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2,860 m) and Trek to Monjo (2,835 m): 35min flight, 6 – 7 hrs.

    Early morning, we drive to the airport and take a 35 minutes’ scenic mountain flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. Upon arrival at the airport, the guides will brief us about the trek and introduce porters who will divide the baggage.  After that, we take some time to relish the beauty of one of the most enthralling airports in the world and Lukla town before we begin our trek towards Monjo. Following Dudhkoshi River, we gradually descend to Chheplung village which is the perfect place to get a sight of Mt. Khumbila, a sacred mountain which has never been mounted. We further go downhill the trails and pass through Ghat to reach Phakding, a favorite place to stay overnight. However, we press on to Monjo as this will provide us with a good start for the steep climb to Namche next day. Overnight at Monjo.


    Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m): 5 – 6 hrs.

    After breakfast, continuing our trek, we take a stiff walk through a beautiful pine forest that leads us to the gateway of the Sagarmatha National Park. The trail passes through the beautiful village of Jorsale and then alongside the Dudh Koshi river. We cross two suspension bridges before beginning the steep ascent to Namche Bazaar. Relishing the majestic view of Mount Everest on the way, we reach the biggest Sherpa town Namche Bazaar. Being the main gateway to the Everest region, Namche has various facilities like banks, internet cafes, pizza houses and bakeries we can visit if necessary. We rest for the night in a tea house or lodge at Namche.


  • Day 04: Trek to Deboche (3,820 m): 7 hrs.

    After breakfast, we again continue our journey through beautiful lush forest with a beautiful view of mountains along ascending and descending trails. After a short but steep ascent out of Namche Bazaar, we walk on a relatively fair level trail to the villages of Kenjuma and Sanasa. Passing through several chortens and Mani walls a with a great view of the mighty peaks like Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and Kwangde continuously throughout the day, we reach Tengboche. To avoid mountain sickness, we take it easy climbing up to Tengboche, famous for the Buddhist Monastery. Ascending along the stone steps, we reach today's rest stop Deboche.


  • Day 05: Trek to Dingboche (4,410 m): 4 hrs.

    After early breakfast at Deboche, we head out towards Dingboche exploring the beautiful rhododendron, conifers, and birch forest. We pass another exciting suspension bridge on the Imja River relishing the spectacular panorama of Mount Ama Dablam to climb up to Pangboche. When we reach Pangboche Monastery, the view of the Himalayan view becomes closer. We continue our walk and pass through the Imja Valley and Lobuche River. Crossing another suspension bridge and with a continuous climb, the trails eventually lead us to Dingboche. Overnight at picturesque village Dingboche.


  • Day 06: Trek to Lobuche (4,940 m): 5 hrs.

    Today, we again forge ahead towards EBC continuing along the sideways glacial deposit of the Khumbu Glacier and pass by emotive stone memorials for climbers and Sherpas who have lost their lives on nearby summits. The end of the moraine of the glacier is steep which presents a great challenge to trekkers. However, overcoming such challenging task feels impressive as we find ourselves facing several great peaks including Khumbutse, Lingtren, Pumori and Mahalangur Himal. As we cross a Khumbu Glacier, we can also see the breathtaking view of Mt. Nuptse. Slowly, we head to the village of Lobuche placed at the foot of giant Lobuche Peak. We rest for the night at Lobuche.


  • Day 07: Trek to Gorak Shep (5,164 m): Hike to Everest Base Camp (5,380 m): Then Heli Ride Down to Lukla: 8 – 9 hrs.

    Today is the day when we finally step on to the ultimate destination of the journey, Everest Base Camp at the elevation of 5,380 meters. We take an exciting walk along the Khumbu Glacier and reach Gorak Shep, the final stop before Everest Base Camp. After one to two hours of climbing from Gorak Shep, we finally reach the base camp just below the Khumbu Ice Fall. We enjoy the incredible melt patterns and admire the gently rounded ice towers on the upper part of the Khumbu Glacier. The Everest Base Camp is stunningly beautiful. We can enjoy marvelous views of Nuptse, Khumbutse and Pumori mountains from the camp. Also, we will get the chance to meet a lot of trekking enthusiasts and even mountain climbers attempting to climb the Mount Everest. After capturing the unbelievable views of majestic beauty in camera and mostly in the heart, we return to Gorak Shep.

    From Gorak Shep, we will take a scenic helicopter ride over the majestic Khumbu Valley. Hovering above the Everest Base Camp, Khumbu Glacier and Kalapatthar, you will witness the Himalayan hulks such as Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Lhotse, Nuptse, and several others. The Heli tour stops at Lukla from where we will take a flight the next morning.


  • Day 08: Fly Back to Kathmandu and then Explore Kathmandu Valley: 35min flight

    Leaving the mountains behind and enjoying mesmeric Himalayan views for the last time, we fly back to Kathmandu early in the morning.  As we reach Kathmandu airport, you’ll be transported to your hotel upon landing for some much-needed rest. In the afternoon, we go for a tour to explore some of the UNESCO World Heritage sites like Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Swoyambhunath Stupa and Boudhanath Stupa. You will have a full day excursion tour around these places which help you to explore the Kathmandu Valley closely. You can also go for a keepsake shopping to bring some things for memories back to home from Nepal. We’ll meet in the evening for a farewell dinner at one of the best Nepalese restaurants in Kathmandu making your last night as pleasant as possible.


  • Day 09: Farewell Friend and Departure to Airport

    Your adventurous journey in Nepal concludes today. We drive you to the airport after you say a heartwarming farewell to your friends and us 2-3 hours before your scheduled flight.  You’ll be flying back home with lots of emotive memories to remember for a long time.
