The sights from the windows of our jet shows us glimmering snow-capped mountain peaks spread out down below us, giving us the first thrills of our just begun vacation, sparking off a whole reaction of unforgettable experiences that stay with us for some time to come. As soon as your plane hits the tarmac of Tribhuwan International Airport, Nepal Trekkers office representative and driver will be on standby to meet and greet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. The rep will help you check into your designated hotel, and after going to our rooms and refreshing ourselves we will be briefed about our daily activities. The rest of your time is free to move around the neighborhood and get familiar with your surroundings. In the evening we will meet our senior trek guide who will brief the group about details related to our trek. Your first overnight in the ancient city of temples, probably the most in the world. Breakfast
Pokhara is a beautiful city and aptly known as the ‘City of Lakes’’ in Nepal surrounded by the Annapurna Himalayas. Our journey from Kathmandu begins early in the morning if we go by tourist bus and if we take a flight we can fly any time of the day. In the evening we enjoy a leisurely walk around Phewa Lake and do an overnight at our hotel overlooking the tranquil Phewa Lake. Breakfast.
we drive for an hour to Syauli bazaar where our trek begins to the lovely village of Ghandruk. From Birethanti, we trek to Ghandruk, a beautiful village mostly inhabited by the Gurung community. If time permits, we also visit the Gurung museum today. Overnight in Ghandruk with all meals
After an early breakfast, we start our trek from Ghandruk to Sinuwa at (2350m). It takes 5-6 hours of walking to arrive at our destination. The trail from Ghandruk to Chhomrong Danda ascends gradually. From Chhomrong Danda, the path descends to Komrong Khola before we climb again to Chhomrong. Chhomrong is a large settlement from where we finally trek down to the river before climbing up to our final destination of Sinuwa. We get to see some incredible views of snowcapped peaks from Sinuwa if the weather remains good. We bunk out for an overnight at a teahouse in Sinuwa with all meals.
We start our trek from Sinuwa to Deurali after breakfast. It takes around 6 -7 hours uphill to walk along forested trails to arrive at Deurali. We pass through the settlement of Bamboo before Deurali which is known for its Bamboo forests. Walking past bamboo forested trails is an interesting experience. We pass through Bamboo settlements of Dovan and some rough cut ridges. Trails of this section of the trek pass through forests most of the way on to Deurali. Beautiful rhododendron flowers can be seen blooming over forests in the spring. From Himalaya, we take a steep climb amid the dry forest. We also see a flowing river by the Deurali trail along with a waterfall caused by the same river. We enjoy the cascading waterfall to Deurali and stay overnight at a teahouse in the friendly village of Deurali, with all meals.
Climb gently through a river bed then over a steep trail over to the mountain side. The hike from Bagar to Machhapuchre Base Camp is somewhat tiring. From Machhapuchre base camp we get excellent views of the majestic Machhapuchre along with Mt. Hiunchuli, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Annapurna III, Gandharvachuli and Gangapurna which is certainly a rewarding experience. The vegetation disappears on our way to ABC and the path widens as we enter the Annapurna sanctuary. From here, we get sensational views of the near-vertical south face of Annapurna towering above us. The sanctuary boasts of a dynamic view without anything blocking the 360-degree panorama. From the base camp we again get to relish thrilling views of the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli and other peaks. We do an adventurous overnight at Annapurna Base Camp, the primary highlight of this trip, all meals included
This morning we will awaken to one of the most beautiful views in the world. Sunrise over the mountains is breathtaking. After breakfast, we will start our way home and will say sadly goodbye to ABC!!! We will follow the same trail down as it drops by 1,700m to the path which descends to Komrong Khola before we climb again to Chhomrong. Chhomrong is a large settlement from where we finally trek down to the river before climbing up to our final destination of Sinuwa with its great views and scenery. This is where we will stay at one of the teahouses for the night with all meals.
From Bamboo, it is an uphill trek to Kuldighar followed by a downhill walk to Chhomrong Khola. Then we climb the stone steps to Chhomrong. The trail then descends to Jhinu Danda, where get the healthy opportunity to enjoy the hot springs which is just a 15-20 minute downhill walk from Jhinu Danda to soothe our aching bodies. Once we’re refreshed and done at the hot springs, we get into our vehicle for a short drive to Pokhara. Overnight in the ‘City of Lakes’’ Pokhara - breakfast.
From Pokhara, a thrilling scenic drive of 6 to 7 hours will be enough to return to Kathmandu. We will relaxingly enjoy the views of green forest and the road side houses of rural Nepal while returning to Kathmandu. The evening will be delightful visiting the market area of Kathmandu. We will check into our hotel and enjoy the comforts of a comfy bed with soft pillows after the trailblazing Annapurna Base Camp trek. We also have the options of a flight from Pokhara which takes about 35 minutes to Kathmandu, should we opt for it. At eventide, we will set out for an upscale restaurant for a farewell dinner which will be Nepalese cuisine. While enjoying your meal, you will be entertained to a thrilling cultural dance performed by the local belles – breakfast.
Approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight a representative from ‘Nepal Trekkers’’ will take you to the airport in a vehicle.
