Annapurna circuit trek is a 14-day trek package conducted in the Annapurna region of Nepal. Annapurna region of Nepal is the one of world’s most popular trek trails due to its enchanting natural beauty. In 1949, the region was officially opened for trekking and mountaineering purpose.

Annapurna Circuit Trek 2023

Participating in this trek can give you a beautiful yet adventurous experience as we cover the harsh Lamjung peaks with a high altitude of around 5410 meters, explore the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri trans-Himalaya regions, and have a spectacular view of other mountains such as Gangapurna and Machapuchhre. Besides the natural beauty, you will also experience some amazing cultural treasures throughout the Annapurna circuit trek. As per the government of Nepal, more than 40000 tourists come to Nepal annually to visit Annapurna. Annapurna circuit length can differ from 160 kilometers to 230 kilometers on the basis of transport and the route you choose.

Itinerary

Day 1 will be your arrival day in Kathmandu. Representatives from our travel agency will welcome you and then take you to your hotel. There you will be given a short description of your trip. After that, you can rest for the day in your hotel have your meal, and rest.
On the second day, we start our journey by heading to Jagat. Early morning after our breakfast, we will drive to Jagat from Kathmandu. During the drive, the maximum altitude we will experience is 1,300 meters. The Kathmandu to Jagat drive duration is around 7 hours however it might change as per the road condition and weather. On the way, we will see local villages, Besi Sahar, river Trishuli, green hills, and woods.
After spending one night at Jagat, we will have our lunch in the morning and head towards Dharapani. We will trek to 1960 meters of altitude while trekking to Dharapani. The trek will be around 6 hours long. During the trek, you will travel through the beautiful villages of Chyamje, Sattale, Tal, and Karte. Likewise, you will also get to cross a thrilling suspension bridge and observe the lovely mountains. Once you reach Dharapani, we will have our dinner and rest there overnight.
On the fourth day, we will trek to Chame situated at an elevation of 2,710 meters. After an early breakfast, we will move towards Chame and it will take us around 5 hours of trek to reach Chame. The difficulty level of a trek to Chame is low due to the flat landscape. During the trek, you can view several peaks like Lamjung, Annapurna II, and Annapurna IV. Similarly, you can also enjoy a hot spring on the way. Once you reach Chame, you will have dinner and take a rest there.
Early morning after a delicious breakfast, we head towards Pisang. The maximum altitude you will experience while trekking to Pisang is around 3300 meters. During the trek, you will find changes in the landscape from flat surfaces to trans-Himalaya and follow lush jungle and cold flowing river Marsyangdi River. The trek duration will be around 5 hours. Once you reach Pisang you will find yourself in a trans-Himalayan desert and the vegetation will be really less. We stay overnight at Pisang and have our dinner.
On the sixth day, we will trek to 3540 meters altitude to Manang. Throughout the trial, you will get a spectacular view of mountains like Annapurna, Gangapurna, and Tilicho and a thin forest of pine trees. During the trek, you will also come across a place called Braga where you will see a historic religious monument, a 400-year-old monastery. The trek duration will be around 6 hours and once you reach Manang, we will rest for the day.
Because of the higher change in the altitude, we use this day to stay in Manag for acclimatization. While in Manag, we will have some delicious local Thakali meals and go sightseeing at the Gangapurna lake, monasteries, and villages nearby. Similarly, you also have some splendid views of the Annapurna and Gangapurna mountains.
After spending the entire day at Manang, we will move to Letdar on the eighth day. Letdar is situated at an altitude of 4,230 meters and the trek duration to Letdar is around 4 hours. During the trek, you will pass a rocky landscape, pastures, Jharsang Khola, suspension bridges, and wonderful culturally rich villages like Tenki and Ghunasa. Once we reach Letdar, we will rest overnight after dinner.
Day 9 will be a day to climb upwards to an altitude of 4600 meters. We head towards Thorang Phedi from Letdar after lunch. The trek will only be 4 hours long journey in which you will see snow-capped mountains, dry lands, and gorgeous landscapes. Compared to other parts of the trek, this one is a bit dangerous due to the chances of landslides. There are specific parts prone to landslides. Some of the mountains you can see are Gundang, Syagang, Khatungkan and Thorung. Once, we reach Thorang Phedi, we will rest for the night and have our dinner.
On the tenth day, we will trek to Muktinath which is situated at an altitude of 5416 meters. Trekking to Muktinath is going to be challenging as you will get no time to have your breakfast. You along with your teammates will have to get ready for the trek early in the morning at 2 am, the trek route will be windy during the daytime, and will also have to climb the steep hill for around 4 hours. However, once you reach the Thorang La pass, you will forget all the sweat and tears because it offers you the most spectacular view from the viewpoint. When you arrive in the morning time, you will get a beautiful view of the sunrise from the viewpoint. After we spend some time in the viewpoint, we will head towards the Muktinath temple, a religious and culturally significant site. The temple is visited by both hindu and Buddhist pilgrims. The trek duration will be around 8 hours. After visiting Muktinath, we will have authentic Thakali lunch and head towards our hotel.
On the eleventh day, we will trek to Jomson from Muktinath. Jomsom is situated at an altitude of 2,670 meters and the route is also easy to cover. During the trek, we will cover the Kali Gandaki valley, lovely Marpha village, and apple fields. The trek will take around 4 hours to complete. Once we reach Jomsom, we will rest overnight.
Day 12 be our last day of the trek and on this day we finish our trekking officially. On this day, we will have our lunch and fly to Pokhara from Jomsom. You will have an entire day to enjoy in Pokhara. In Pokhara, we will spend the day sightseeing and visiting many different exciting places.
On this day, we will have our lunch in Pokhara early. After which we will pack our backs and leave for Kathmandu from Pokhara. The flight duration from Kathmandu to Pokhara is only 30 minutes. Once we reach Kathmandu airport we will rest at our hotel for some time and then visit nearby sightseeing spots around Kathmandu like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar square. After that, we move to our hotel to have our farewell dinner.
14th Day is the final day of the trip, on which we will wake up early in the morning, have our breakfast and wait for the tour representative to drop us at Kathmandu international airport. After arriving at the airport you will depart to your respective home countries.
