One of the most famous Muktinath helicopter tours is a private helicopter tour in Nepal for excellent adventure holidays or religious journeys. Near a height of 3710 meters above sea level in the Mustang area of Nepal, Muktinath Temple also known as Chumig Gyatsa can be seen. It is nestled between two peaks of snow-capped mountains at the Thorong-La mountain pass. You’ll soar high above the lovely and picturesque valleys, taking in views of snow-capped mountains like Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, on a Muktinath helicopter tour departing from Kathmandu.
Muktinath
The cohabitation of Buddhism and Hinduism is symbolized by the Muktinath Temple, which has a pagoda-style architecture. According to Hindu mythology, it was here that Lord Vishnu was freed from Brinda’s (Jalandhar’s wife) curse. Thus, he is honored as Muktinath (the Hindu lord of salvation). One of eight such shrines (Srirangam, Sri Mushnam, Tirupati, Naimisaranyam, Thottadri, Pushkaram, and Badrinath) is Muktinath which seems to be the most popular one among travelers. This is one of 108 Vaishnava sanctuaries. Hindus dedicated this Vishnu temple in the region of Upper Mustang in the early 19th century, naming it Muktinath – Lord of Liberation. You can sit and gaze at the snow-covered Annapurna range to the south or the Tibetan plateau to the north against a background of breathtaking scenery.
Mukti and Nath are the roots of the name Muktinath Temple. “Nath” signifies “God or Master,” while “Mukti” means “Salvation or Nirvana.” For all spiritual people on the south Asian subcontinent, Mukti is of utmost importance. The name Muktinath means the provider of salvation, which combines two words and alludes to one of these holy sites where many devotees travel to find the much sought-after moksha. Moksha is the state of being free from the cycle of birth and rebirth. Every human being wants to achieve liberation from the process of birth and death. Hindus believe that because this world is “MAYA” (an illusion), it is best to depart it as soon as possible, and visiting Muktinath will help them do this. The Hindus refer to one of the four holy sites as Muktichhetra (places of salvation). Hindus admire the Shaligrams (ammonites) found during the Muktinath Tour because they believe many of them are Lord Vishnu’s avatars. According to Hindu mythology, Lord Vishnu became Shaligram due to Brinda’s curse. Rishitarpani, Ram Navami, and Bijay Dashami are three of Muktinath Temple’s busiest festive seasons despite the fact that it is open all year round. Thousands of pilgrims gather here to participate in these celebrations
