One of the most recently explored and well-liked expedition spots for peak climbing in mid-Western Nepal is Saribung mountain. The Saribung mountain stands 6328 meters tall and is located in the northeast of Lo-Manthang, close to the Nepal-Tibet border. Participating in peak climbing here will give you a wonderful opportunity to discover the distinctive Tibetan plateau of the Himalayas and the settlements behind Lo-Manthang mountain. Although no prior mountaineering expertise is necessary for the trip, it is physically demanding due to the steep, icy trails that must be ascended in order to pass through the Saribung La pass. The journey to the different breathtaking vistas of the Land Beyond the Mountains is part of the experience of climbing a Himalayan peak. Saribung peak climbing will be 25 days long and is expected to open a door to adventure for climbers.
Outline Itinerary
Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
When you arrive at the airport, our employees will meet you and take you to your hotel in a private vehicle.
Tour briefings and some shopping
This day is set aside for tour briefing by the guide and later, you can purchase your trekking supplies
Brief flight to Jomsom and hike to Kagbeni
A 20-minute ultra-spectacular flight over the mountains, with views of 8,000-meter peaks like Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, will take you to Jomsom. Once we reach Jomson we will rest for a while and start hiking to Kagbeni. After 3 to 4 hours of hiking, you will reach Kagbeni
Trek from Kagbeni to Chele
From Kagbeni, we will trek uphill and downhill to reach Chele. First, we arrive in Tangbe village from where we continue our ascent to Chhusang. From there, we continue moving on till we arrive at Chele village
Trek from Chele to Gilling
Today, we start our trek from Chele and climb to Taklam La Pass with views of Tilicho Peak, Yaskawa Kang, and Damodar Danda. We also pass by a cave famously known as Ramchung Cav and ultimately reach Gilling
Trek from Gilling to Charang
After breakfast, we begin the trek and pass along a very long Mani wall built by the Buddhist disciple. Once we reach the village of Charang, we will visit the red Gompa and spend our night in the teahouse.
Trek from Charang to Lo-Mangthang
With a stunning view of the Nilgiri, Tilicho, Annapurna I, and Bhrikuti mountain, we trek to Lo-Mangthang today. The trail continues to gently ascent to the windswept Lo Pass where you can glimpse the Lo-Mangthang Valley. Ultimately we descend to Lo-Mangthang and spend our night there
Explore the untouched beauty of Lo-Mangthang
Today, we take a tour of the Lo-Mangthang and visit some significant points such as Tingkhar and Namgyal Gompa. Similarly, we will observe the Thugchen Gompa, Chyodi Gompa, and the Entrance Hall, which are this town’s primary attractions. In the evening we will return back to our hotel and rest there
Trek from Lo-Mangthang to Dri/Yara
We leave Lo-Manthang after an early breakfast and proceed down the arid trail to Dri also popular as Yara. We can take in a variety of stunning vistas and refreshing breezes along the route until we finally reach Yara
Trek from Dri/Yara to Luri
We will stop at Luri gompa, a historic monastery after this brief trek from Yara to Luri which will only take around 3 hours
Trek from Luri to Thanti Ghuma
Early in the morning, we will trek from Luri to Thanti Ghuma, which was built to house pilgrims traveling to Damodar Kunda. After hiking via a high pass, we will experience breathtaking views of Dhaulagiri from the trail’s many vantage points
Trek from Ghuma Thanti to Namta Khola
The trek to Namta Khola from Ghuma Thanti will take around 8 hours to complete. The trail will first pass through a point from where you can have tremendous views of the Dhaulagiri and the Annapurna I. After that, Secondly, the trail makes a steep descent to the bottom of the Parche Khola and again climbs up to 5,490 meters. We have clear views of Mount Dhaulagiri and Damodar Himal from the trail’s high pass. After enjoying the must-see attractions our journey moves forth toward Namta Khola
Trek from Namta Khola to Saribung Base Camp
Ultimately, today will be the day we move to Saribung Base Camp in the morning from Namta Khola. From Namta Khola it will take around 7 hours to reach Saribung Base Camp using several high-altitude trails
Acclimatization
This day is set aside for the process of acclimatization before climbing to Saribung Peak. On this day, you can tour the amazing neighboring places of Saribung Peak
Saribung Base Camp to Camp I
The rough snowy trail and glacier moraines are both present in this stretch of mountain trails. During the trial, you will be able to see the Khumjunggar Himal and Damodar Himal
Camp I to Saribung Peak to Saribung Base Camp
Today, we will finally climb to the peak of Saribung. The walk begins early in the morning with a climb to Saribung’s top, after which it descends to Saribung Base Camp
Trek from Saribung Base Camp to Saribung Pass to Nagoru
The first part of the morning journey takes us across Saribung Pass. After that, the icy trail slopes dramatically till we come to a tiny brook. Next, we reach Nagoru along the trail at last
Trek from Nagoru to Phu Gaon
To reach Phu Gaon from Nagoru we will pass through the Tibetan resembling plateau. After reaching Phu gaon, we will find ourselves in the midst of the unique Lost or Hidden Valley. There, we can investigate the cultural traditions, biological variety, and spiritual beliefs of local ethnic groups. Additionally, it will be the day for touring the Tashi Lakhang Monastery, one of the 108 greatest Buddhist monasteries in the world
Trek from Phu Gaon to Meta
The rise initially descends at Kyang, where a number of the Khampa village’s abandoned forts may be seen. After passing through these places, we eventually reach Meta. The Lamjung Himal and Annapurna II will be visible during the trip, providing stunning scenery
Trek from Meta to Koto
The day’s hike begins with a steep downward path that winds through a pine forest, crossing numerous small streams and a picturesque waterfall close to the Dharmashala. Before arriving in Koto, our journey in this part also passes via a number of suspension bridges
Trek from Koto to Dharapani
Before reaching Timang, which is located in the middle of a pine forest, the first leg of today’s drive passes via a few small settlements. The route then abruptly falls to Danque, from where we proceed on a level path until we reach Dharapani
Trek from Dharapani to Jagat
The suspension bridges over the Marsyangdi River are crossed and re-crossed during this part of the trek. As we make our way further along the trail, we first reach Kotro and then the Tal settlement. Eventually, after passing through Chyamje, we shall arrive in Jagat Village
Travel from Jagat to Bulbhule
The trek’s final day is today. We descend the rocky path and eventually take in the breathtaking spectacle of the waterfalls. After arriving at Bulbule, where we spend the night, we travel by road to Kathmandu
Travel from Bulbhule to Kathmandu
To get to Kathmandu from Bulbule it will take almost 7 hours. We’ll use a private tourist car to travel to Kathmandu. On reaching kathmandu, you will rest at your hotel
Farewell and Treanfer to airport
You will take a guided tour of a few significant heritage sites in the morning. After tbhat we will organize a farewell lunch for you transfer you to the airport for your departure

FAQs
Weather, physical condition, basic mountaineering training, and equipment are a few of the variables that affect how tough it is to climb Saribung Peak. Besides, the Saribung Peak climbing can be considered moderately challenging
The optimum times to climb Saribung Peak are in the spring (March to June) and fall (September to November)
The water in the toilets and showers sometimes freeze in the winter, but they are clean and pleasant. Hot water can be arranged if needed. You do not, however, need to use the restroom outside at night because they are all indoors
It is advisable to have a power bank that you can recharge in Kathmandu so that you may use it in the higher altitudes because it is expensive to recharge batteries there
