Itinerary

On the first day of Pikey Peak Trek, you will arrive in Kathmandu. If you wish, we can arrange a representative to receive and welcome you from the airport. After you are received, you will be taken to your respective hotel. Rest for the day at your hotel and enjoy the courtesy.

Day 2 is when you will start your Pikey Peak Trek officially. On this day, after you eat your breakfast, you will join our trekker’s team. The team will start the journey by driving you from Kathmandu to Phaplu. Drive to Phaplu will take around 7 hours. During the journey, you will be provided with your launch and snacks. Additionally, you will come across so many green terrains, ridges, terraced farmlands in the hills, ever-flowing rivers, and more. Once you reach Phaplu, you will have your dinner and rest for the night.
On the third day, you will start your trekking from Phaplu to Junbesi after lunch. The Pikey Peak trekking hour will be 6 to 7 hours long. Junbesi is situated at an elevation of 2700 meters. During the trek, you will come across thick green woods, tiny villages, and indigenous people. Once you reach Junbesi you will have your meals and rest overnight.
After an early breakfast at Junbesi, on the fourth day we will trek to Lamjura situated at an altitude of 3500 meters. We will ascend from Junbesi to Lamjura while taking pictures of the stunning scenery with our cameras. On our way to Lamjura, we shall pass by numerous Mani walls and Chortens. In this village, there is a historic monastery that we will explore, and we will also take in the stunning vista of Numbur Himal to the north. This trek route will be dusty but with time becomes cleaner. Also, the view of mountains starts appearing during this route and gradually you will see the breathtaking mountains. As you move upward, you will trek on a steeper and narrower surface than before. After trekking for around one hour on the steeper surface you will reach Lamjura.
On the fifth day you will finally move towards Pikey peak. The day starts with a hike up Pikey Peak early in the morning along a rocky, steep ridgeline (4065m). In addition to Mt. Everest (8848m), Number Chuli (6959m), Thamserku (6608m), Kangtega (6685m), Khatang (6853m), Kanchenjunga (8586m), Manaslu (8163m), Dhaulagiri (8167m), Gaurishankar (7134m), Dorje Lakpa (6966m), and Langtang, we can also enjoy the breathtaking sunrise view above these mountains. From Lamjura after early morning breakfast, you will trek to Pikey peak base camp which is at 4,070 meters altitude. During the trek, you will also experience a wonderland. Everywhere you will see colorful rhododendron flowers and trees, yak grazing pastures, rough terrain, and picturesque view of mountains. After you trek around 5 hours through all these lush vegetation and zig-zag route, you arrive at the Pikey Peak Base camp. Here you can also find a View Point from where you will be able to see so many snowcapped mountains such as Mt Everest, Thamserku, Kantega, Manaslu, and Dhaulagiri. Besides, there will be some cheese factories that make cheese from yak milk. You can participate in the cheese tasting there. Here you will have to camp for the night.
After spending a night on the Pikey peak camp, you will then trek downwards to Jhapre at an altitude of 2850. Early in the morning, when we wake up, we shall see the first golden rays of the light illuminating the snow-covered mountains. While taking in the scenery, we will continue our journey along a dusty road and rhododendron forests. The track spreads out to show a grassland with grazing Yaks and we descend from the Pikey Base Camp to Jhapre after crossing a substantial Mani wall. This Pikey Peak Trek will take around 5 hours of time. This trek will basically be the beginning of the return trek to Kathmandu. Once, you reach Jhapre we will stay there overnight, rest, and have authentic meals.
Typically the last day of trekking is going to be the 7th day. On the 7th day, we will trek to Dhap from Jhapre which will start after we have our breakfast in Jhapre. The Pikey Peak Trek route follows a rough street yet stunning viewpoint junctures from where you can once again enjoy the rejoice of majestic mountains. Once we reach Dhap after a 4-hour-long trek we will rest there and have some fulfilling meals.
After breakfast in Dhap we carry our baggage and move back to Kathmandu via Jeep. The Jeep drive can take around 6 to 7 hours depending upon the road condition and weather. As this is going to be the last day of the Pikey Peak Trek we will host you a full-fledged dinner at night.
The ninth day will be the last day of your Pikey Peak trip and on this day if you wish to return to your homeland, we can provide you hotel to airport transfer.
