The Annapurna Circuit trek is an adventure in Nepal’s Annapurna region. This 14 days package gives you an opportunity to trek to popular trails full of natural and cultural beauty. Annapurna Circuit exploration originally began in 1949 AD and later the trekking was opened to foreign visitors during 1977 AD. This trek starts from Beshisahar or Chame and ends in Nayapul, Pokhara, covering an average distance of 160 km to 230 km depending upon the route.
Annapurna Circuit Trek 2026
Annapurna Circuit Trek is the most loved and performed trekking route by global and domestic trekkers. This trek encircles the Annapurna Massif, where trekkers walk across dense rhododendron forests, high-altitude terrains, rain shadow desert areas, and deep river valleys. You trek in the Annapurna region, crossing traditional villages, rushing rivers, and waterfalls to reach the iconic Thorong La Pass (5,416 m). To reach the high pass, you travel across Lamjung Peaks and explore Annapurna and Dhaulagiri trans-Himalayan regions. The close view of mountains like Annapurna, Gangapurna, and Machhapuchhre gives you the best memory.
Besides natural beauty, the Annapurna region also lets you explore cultural treasures during the trek. You pass crossing sacred and holy sites, mani walls and prayer flags, and traditional Nepali villages. Outline Itinerary
Arrive at Kathmandu
Day 1 will be your first day in Kathmandu. We welcome you to Nepal as our team receives you from the airport and then takes you to your hotel. There you will be given a short briefing of your trip. After that, you can rest for the day in your hotel and have your meal. If you are interested you can go for a walk nearby to explore a busy street, marketplace, and local place of attraction. Traditional places in Kathmandu allow you to taste unique cultural foods.
Drive to Jagat
The second day of the Annapurna Circuit trek begins with early morning breakfast at your hotel. After breakfast, prepare for your journey following the trek briefing with your trekking guide. If you have any concern or confusion, you can express it with your guide. After packing all belongings, prepare for your bus ride to Jagat. The drive from Kathmandu to Jagat takes around 6 to 7 hours to cover a distance of 205 to 215 km. Enjoy the scenic views of Trishuli and Marsyangdi rivers, roadside villages, and terraced farms during the journey. The final stop of the second day journey will be at Jagat where you prepare for next day's trek to Dharapani.
Trek to Dharapani
After spending one night at Jagat, we will have our breakfast in the morning and prepare to trek toward Dharapani(1860 m). The total distance from Jagat to Dharapani averages 15 km and takes around 5 to 7 hours depending upon the trail condition and pace. The trail passes through villages like Chyamje, Sattale, Tal, and Karte. You also travel crossing rivers, suspension bridges, and lush rhododendron forest. Having lunch in the mid way, you reach Dharapani, the final destination of your third day trek. Unpack, rest, and have dinner while also preparing for the next day adventure to Chame, Manang.
Trek to Chame
On the fourth day, following an early morning breakfast you will trek to Chame located at an altitude of 2,710 m. The average distance from Dharapani to Chame is around 15 to 16 KM and takes 6 to 7 hours depending upon your pace and route conditions. In general, the trek difficulty to Chame is easy as you travel to a flat surface. You get the best view of various peaks like Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, and Lamjung Himal during your fourth day journey to Annapurna Circuit. You end the day in Chame by resting and enjoying various points of attraction such as hot springs on the way.
Trek to Pisang
Early morning after a delicious breakfast, we head towards Pisang. The maximum altitude you will reach while trekking to Pisang is around 3300 meters. During the trek, you will feel the changes in the landscape from flat surfaces to trans-Himalaya and follow lush jungle and cold flowing river Marsyangdi River. The total trek duration today will be around 5 hours. Once you reach Pisang you will find yourself in a trans-Himalayan desert and high altitude landscape. Once we reach Pisang, we stay overnight there and have our dinner while preparing for the next day's adventure.
Trek to Manang
On the sixth day, we will trek to reach 3540 meters altitude at Manang. Throughout the trail, you will get a spectacular view of mountains like Annapurna, Gangapurna, and Tilicho and a thin forest of pine trees. During the trek, you will also come across a place called Braga where you will see a historic religious monument, a 400-year-old monastery. The trek duration will be around 6 hours and once you reach Manang, we will rest for the day.
Manang Acclimatization Day
Today is the acclimatization and rest day in Manang as you are in higher altitude and adjusting your body for high altitude air is important. While in Manag, we will have some delicious local Thakali meals and go sightseeing at the Gangapurna lake, monasteries, and villages nearby. From Manang, you can enjoy the close up views of the Annapurna and Gangapurna mountains.
Trek to Letdar
After spending the entire day at Manang, we will move to Letdar on the eighth day. Letdar is situated at an altitude of 4,230 meters and the trek duration to Letdar is around 4 hours. During the trek, you will pass a rocky landscape, pastures, Jharsang Khola, suspension bridges, and wonderful culturally rich villages like Tenki and Ghunasa. Once we reach Letdar, we will rest overnight after dinner.
Trek to Thorang Phedi
Day nine will be a day to climb upwards to an altitude of 4600 meters. We headed towards Thorang Phedi from Letdar after lunch. The trek will only be a 4 hours long journey but the climb will be strenuous and challenging where you can get the best view of snow-capped mountains, dry lands, and gorgeous landscapes. Compared to other parts of the trek, this one is a bit dangerous due to the chances of landslides. There are specific parts prone to landslides. Some of the mountains you can see are Gundang, Syagang, Khatungkan and Thorong. Once we reach Thorang Phedi, we will rest for the night and have our dinner.
Trek to Muktinath via Thorang La Pass
On the tenth day, we will trek to Thorong La Pas located at an altitude of 5416 meters to reach Muktinath(3800 m), a sacred Hindu and Buddhist religious place. Trekking to Thorong La pass is going to be challenging as you have to perform steep climbing followed by an early morning trek before 3 am. The trek route will be windy during the daytime, and will also have to climb the steep hill for around 4 hours. However, once you reach the Thorong La pass, you get rewarded with the best view and experience from the viewpoint. The view point gives you a 360 degree panorama of Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, and Chulu ranges. An early morning visit to the viewpoint also rewards you with a beautiful and scenic sunrise view in the himalayan horizon. After we spend some time in the viewpoint, we will head towards the Muktinath temple. After an 8 to 10 hour walk, you reach Muktinath where you end your day following thakali lunch in the local home stay or hotel.
Trek to Jomsom
Following breakfast in the morning, you reach Jomsom( 2,670 m) from Muktinath. Jomsom is downhall trek from Muktinath and throughout the way you get scenic views of Kagbeni, Nilgiri himal, Dhaulagiri, and Kali Gandaki valley. You will end your day in Jomsom where you enjoy the local nearby villages like Marpha. Marpha is famous for its traditional apple orchard and whisky, allowing you to experience rich thakali culture and tradition. You can shop for souvenirs and various local items to take with you as remembrance of Nepal’s Annapurna region. You can also enjoy the flight's takeoff and landing view in Jomsom. You will end the day following dinner at Jomsom and prepare for the next day's flight to Pokhara.
Fly Back to Pokhara
Today you leave the himalayan landscape taking a flight to reach the beautiful Pokhara Valley. Enjoy the scenic flight to Pokhara where you fly across Himalayan landscape enjoying the scenic aerial view. The lunch today will be at Pokhara and after lunch you have an entire day to enjoy in Pokhara. In Pokhara, we will spend the day sightseeing and visiting many different places of attractions.
Farewell
On this day, we will have our breakfast early in Pokhara. After which we will pack our backs and leave for Kathmandu from Pokhara. The flight duration from Kathmandu to Pokhara is only 30 minutes. Once we reach Kathmandu airport we will rest at our hotel for some time and then visit nearby sightseeing spots around Kathmandu like Pashupatinath, Boudhanath, and Kathmandu Durbar square. After that, we moved to our hotel to have our farewell dinner.
Departure
14th Day is the final day of the trip, on which we will wake up early in the morning, have our breakfast and wait for the tour representative to drop us at Kathmandu international airport. After arriving at the airport you will depart to your homeland. We wish you good bye and safe journey and hope to see you again on your next visit to Nepal.

Essential Packing Guide

Visa and Permit Requirements
Visa: You require a valid Nepal visa (exception to Indian nationals) to enter and trek to major trekking destinations of Nepal. You may get a Nepal visa on your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport or via land border( refer to visa guidelines from official site).
Permit: To trek in Annapurna Circuit Trek, you require to obtain Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) Permit and Trekker’s Information Management System (TIMS) cards. These permits are included in your trek package with Trekkers Nepal.
Mandatory requirement 2026: If you are trekking to Annapurna Circuit of Nepal, you require trekking with a licensed trekking guide. You also require a valid identity document with a detailed itinerary.
Sim and Internet Requirement
Sim and Network: NTC and Ncell are primary network providers in Nepal. You can obtain these Sim cards to aid communication coverage in the region. You can also use mobile data to access the internet. In high altitude and remote areas, the strength of the signal may be unreliable due to weather and traffic.
Wifi network: Most accommodation facilities in the route have wifi connectivity however their strength and speed might be unreliable in high altitude regions.
Electricity and infrastructure
Electricity/ Power: Electricity or power is available in most locations and accommodation in the route. In higher altitude the supply of electricity might be inconsistent as they depend upon solar energy and can be impacted by weather. So it is better to carry powerbackups like powerbanks and extra batteries to charge your device during power cuts.
Infrastructures: You get modern infrastructure and facilities in urban and accessible areas. Meanwhile, in higher elevations, these infrastructure are limited to basic accommodation and teahouses.
